Pierce College can prepare you for a variety of careers in the education field and has 2+2 partnerships with universities for transfer. Earn your associate degree in our Early Childhood Education or Math Education degree programs. After earning an associate degree in early childhood education, you can transition into our Bachelor of Applied Science in Teaching program to earn your baccalaureate degree and teacher licensure with early childhood education and early childhood special education endorsements. You can also start at Pierce College and earn an associate of arts degree and then transfer to one of our university partners to study elementary education, special education, secondary education, or become a specialist. This is an exciting time to be in education with plentiful job opportunities.

An I-BEST program is offered in a three-quarter day or night cohort with intensive academic support for Levels 5 and 6 English as a Second Language (ESL) student and Levels 3-6 Adult Basic Education (ABE) and General Education Development (GED) students to successfully complete the Certificate in Early Childhood Education. The training is part of a longer pathway leading to completion of an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education.
