Anthropology/Archaeology Major

This planning sheet lists only the courses related to the anthropology major. Students planning to transfer as a anthropology major should follow the requirements for the Associate of Arts (AA-DTA) or other appropriate university transfer degree. Check with your advisor and transfer institution for more details regarding which degree option is best.

Anthropology Major

All anthropology majors should include the following courses in their degree program:

ANTH& 204 Archaeology (5)
ANTH& 205 Biological Anthropology (5)
ANTH& 206 Cultural Anthropology (5)
ENGL& 102 Composition II: Argumentation and Research (5)
Anthropology majors are encouraged to take at least two quarters of world language.

In addition to the courses listed above, the following courses are recommended as relevant options for each focus. Courses marked with an asterisk (*) are additional courses that would apply to that area of study and could be considered for elective credit.
