PE 270 Intermediate Weight Training (1 credit)
Course Description This is an intermediate course designed to build upon and improve weight training skills to build muscular strength and endurance.
Student Outcomes 1. Assess muscular strength and endurance using standard fitness assessments to develop SMART goals.
2. Demonstrate advanced weight-lifting techniques to improve muscular strength and endurance using both common and uncommon equipment when appropriate for skill level and safety.
3. Design a progressive resistance training program to adapt to the dose-response relationship of training, with attention to safety.
