CIS 275 Business Intelligence (BI) (5 credits)



Prerequisite CIS 260 or CIS 261, with a 2.0 or above, or instructor permission.

Course Description
Analyze, model, visualize and deploy business intelligence (BI) solutions.  Topics include data cleansing, Extract Transform Load (ETL) data. Construct dashboards and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Prepares students to become a Microsoft Certified Data Analyst Associate.

Program Outcomes: Work as a liaison among stakeholders in order to understand the integration of structure, policies, workflows and operations within the healthcare environment, and to document and recommend IT design solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals.  Utilize data and business intelligence to consolidate, manipulate, integrate, and display health data. Create and model end-user data visualizations.
