PE 165 Advanced Basketball Skills (2.0 credits)
Course Description This is an intermediate basketball course designed for students with basic basketball knowledge and skills to progress their individual skills and advance their team play.

Student Outcomes 1. Identify medical clearance for safe participation in exercise and the benefits of participation in a comprehensive fitness program.
2. Demonstrate enhanced fundamentals of basketball including advanced dribbling, passing, shooting while incorporating advanced tactical teamwork.
3. Identify the benefits of basketball as a form of physical activity and exercise to improve one’s health and wellness through the development of SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time-bound) goals for the purpose of self-analysis, self-discovery, and self-reflection.
