Course Description
An individual instruction course advancing student music performance in brass. No audition required.
Course is repeatable for additional credit up to 3 times in the degree.
Course Content
a.) musical literacy (e.g.pitch, rhythm, tempo, articulation, dynamics, phrasing)
b.) conventions of brass playing technique (e.g. balance, intonation precision, pitch, tone production, rhythm, tempo, articulation, dynamics, phrasing)
c.) musicality (e.g. timbre, stylistic expression)

1. Demonstrate through performance improvement in literacy, technique, and musicality.
Degree Outcomes
Humanities: Graduates acquire critical skills to interpret, analyze, and evaluate forms of human expression, which can include creation and performance as an expression of human experience.
