MUSC 263 Private Instruction: Woodwinds (1 credit)
Distribution Area Fulfilled Humanities with Performance; General Transfer Elective Course Description A continuation of MUSC 163 geared towards advancing student music performance in woodwinds. No audition required. Course is repeatable for additional credit up to 3 times in the degree.
Course Content a.) pitch, rhythm, tempo, articulation, and intonation precision b.) proper woodwind playing technique c.) dynamic, phrase, balance d.) timbre, stylistic expression e.) audition preparation including sight-reading, contrasting repertoire
