MUSC 268 Private Instruction: Plectrum Strings (1 credit)

Course Description
A continuation of MUSC 168 geared towards advancing all levels of student music performance in plectrum (ex. guitar, bass guitar). No audition required. Course is repeatable for additional credit up to 3 times in the degree.

Course Content
a.) pitch, rhythm, tempo, articulation, and intonation precision
b.) proper plectrum strings playing technique
c.) dynamic, phrase, balance
d.) timbre, stylistic expression
e.) audition preparation including sight-reading, contrasting repertoire
