MNGT 295 Human Resource Management (5 credits)
Course Description Principles, methods, and procedures in human resource management including job analysis, description and classification, employee morale and motivation, labor turnover, selection and placement, rating and promotion, and compensation in conjunction with current government regulations.

Student Outcomes 1. Describe the core functions and responsibilities of human resource management, including recruitment, retention, compensation, labor relations, and compliance.
2. Apply legal and ethical HR principles to business practices, ensuring adherence to employment law, labor regulations, and workplace equity standards.
3. Design effective employee development strategies by identifying performance gaps, motivating diverse teams, and aligning training with organizational needs.
4. Reflect on personal biases and positionality to evaluate how identity, power, and equity influence the creation and implementation of inclusive HR policies.
