MNGT 430 Applied Accounting for Managers (5 credits)



Prerequisite At least a junior standing in a baccalaureate program, ACCT& 201 , ACCT& 202 , and college-level Math with 2.0 grade or better.

Course Description
This course examines accounting practices and how they are used to help managers make good business decisions.

Student Outcomes
1. Apply managerial accounting tools and techniques to analyze financial performance and support short- and long-term strategic business decisions.

2. Evaluate capital investment proposals and determine their financial viability using cost-benefit analysis and profitability metrics.

3. Integrate financial and non-financial data to develop and communicate actionable recommendations to internal decision-makers.

4. Analyze ethical considerations in accounting practices and apply professional standards to ensure integrity, transparency, and compliance.
