2. Health, Safety and Nutrition

ECED& 107 Health, Safety and Nutrition (5 credits)
Course purpose: This class is an overview of the State and national guidelines and policies for health, safety, and nutrition in ECE. This class sets the foundation of teaching you about creating a safe and healthy learning environment for children. This course is also required to meet mandated report criteria for ECE.

3. Child Development

EDUC& 115 Child Development (5 credits)
Course purpose: This course will help you build a functional understanding of the foundation of child development, prenatal to early adolescence. Observe and document physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of children, reflective of cross cultural and global perspectives.

4. Practicum: Focus on Relationships

ECED& 120 Practicum: Focus on Relationships (2 credits)

5. Family Child Care

Course purpose: Early Childhood Education is a broad field; this course allows for specialization for work in family child care.
