To keep up — and stay ahead — in the ever-changing workplace, education and skills training is a lifelong pursuit. Get the skills to go further in your career with a bachelor’s degree from a community or technical college. An applied bachelor’s degree builds on the education and training from a two-year technical associate degree.

Bachelor of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene (BASDH).The BASDH prepares the student for graduate school where courses and credits apply. Within Washington State, the Pierce College BASDH is accepted for entrance into the University of Washington’s Master of Science (Dental Hygiene) in Oral Biology.

The Bachelor of Applied Science in Homeland Security Emergency Management (BASHSEM) is an online multi-disciplinary management level program designed to train the next generation of adaptive leaders to work collaboratively across industry sectors and interact with each other to produce a synchronized plan for a whole community response to emergencies, disasters or catastrophic events. Homeland Security Emergency Management is a cross-functional industry that requires managers and leaders that have the ability to think through multiple systems, processes, and relationships to analyze how various public, private, and non-profit organizations function. Courses ae based on industry established competencies in leadership, planning, systems thinking, disaster communications, ethics and legal issues, cultural diversity, information management, financial and budget systems, and risk assessment and management. The degree includes an internship opportunity to apply skills and knowledge acquired through classroom study in an industry setting.

Bachelor of Applied Science in Teaching.
