ART 150 Printmaking, Beginning (5 credits) GER-HM/Performance A studio/lab course covering the various basic processes of fine art printmaking. Students will learn how to make mutable original prints from personally designed compositions. The methods used to create artwork will include the Intaglio print processes such as dry-point, monotype and solar plate. The Relief system will be emphasized by the completion of woodcuts and lino-cuts. Students will leave the class with several editions of prints and a basic knowledge of hand-pulled printmaking practices.
