PHIL 160 Introduction to the Philosophy of Science (5 credits)

This course investigates key questions about the foundations and structure of science. Questions posed include, among others: What is science? What makes one theory better than another at explaining some phenomenon? How do scientists pursue their goals? Are there challenges to traditional scientific methodologies?
