• Course purpose: Nurses regularly deal with death and dying on a daily basis. Exploring all aspects of the death experience and understanding of the impact of death on family, society, and the healthcare system is a practical skill.

• Course purpose: Nurses would benefit from exploration of traditional and contemporary gender roles and how individuals experience their role in society.
