Course purpose: This course provides the foundational skills needed to write effectively. Physicists must be able to communicate effectively in writing technical reports, grants, instructions and proposals to colleagues.

Course purpose: Physicists will work in teams in their careers. This course provides the skills needed to handle group conflicts and discusses different leadership styles. - CMST 105 Intercultural Communication (5 credits)
Course purpose: In today’s global economy, Physicists must interact with clients and colleagues from around the world. This course teaches you about different worldviews and skills to interact with technology. - CMST& 220 Public Speaking (5 credits)
Course purpose: This course provides you with practice in public speaking. Physicists must be able to present proposals, results and conclusions to clients, supervisors and laypeople.
