CIS 126 Introduction to JavaScript (JS) (5 credits)
Prerequisite CIS 125 with a 2.0 grade or higher or instructor permission.
Course Description Introduction to JavaScript (JS) applications. Learn to program in JavaScipt, and script the DOM (document object model), using current frameworks.
Course Content A. JavaScript syntax and frameworks
B. Basic scripts, objects and events
C. Object-oriented programming
D. Design, Testing, and Debugging
Student Outcomes Code JavaScript statements, objects, functions, and events
- Use and script the JavaScript DOM (Document Object Model)
- Test and debug JavaScript (JS) applications
- Integrate front-end scripts and applications i.e., HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Use current JavaScript (JS) frameworks
- Apply forms and data validations
