EMS 226 Paramedic Skills Lab II (3 credits)



Prerequisite Enrollment in the Paramedic Program.

Course Description
Development of paramedic basic advanced lifesaving skills.

Course Content
Performance and practical application of skills learned
Patient assess ment and treatment plans utilizing critical thinking.

Student Outcomes
  1. Perform the systematic patient assessment used for patients with cardiorespiratory and traumatic emergencies.
  2. Identify the most likely etiology using information obtained from patient history, clinical findings, and foundational knowledge of pathophysiology.
  3. Demonstrate assessment, management, and skills performance into simulated patient scenarios.
