EMS 220 Manag. of Traumatic Injuries & Special Populations (2 credits)
Prerequisite Enrollment in the Paramedic Program.
Course Description Assessment and management of traumatic injuries in populations that require additional consideration for treatment.
Course Content Assessment and pathophysiology in obstertrics, neo natal, pediatric, geriatric and special challengs.
Identifying treatment plans based on patient assessment finding.

- Formulate treatment plans based on the pathophysiology in simulated patient scenarios for the special population groups.
- Identify critical thinking strategies based on patient findings.
