EMS 227 Paramedic Skills Lab III (3 credits)
Prerequisite Enrollment in the Paramedic Program.
Course Description Students demonstrate proficiency and prepare for the paramedic credentialing exam.
Course Content Comprehensive collaboration of all skills and didactic knowledge used in simulated patient scenarios.
Student Outcomes
- Utilize equipment used in providing airway and ventilatory management techniques.
- Create a systematic method for assessing patients in simulated scenarios of critical and non-critical trauma and medical emergencies.
- Demonstrate the management of stable and unstable patients with various medical emergencies within the scope of practice of a paramedic.
