MNGT 490 Strategic Management Capstone (3 credits)



Prerequisite 2.0 grade or better in each of the following: ENGL& 235,  MNGT 310 , MNGT 330 ,MNGT 395   MNGT 410 , MNGT 420 , MNGT 430 , MNGT 450 , and MNGT 460 .

Course Description
This course synthesizes major principles in the BAS-ABM program. Students capture course and internship learning into a project to solve a major organizational problem or capture a compelling market opportunity (entrepreneurship) against a framework.

1. Design and present a comprehensive strategic solution to a real-world organizational or entrepreneurial challenge using systems thinking, leadership
frameworks, and cross-disciplinary business knowledge.

2. Evaluate the financial, operational, and stakeholder impacts of proposed and alternative strategies using both qualitative and quantitative analysis.

3. Assess risk, trade-offs, and mitigation plans to support sound decision-making and long-term organizational sustainability.

4. Reflect critically on the effectiveness of the chosen solution and communicate key insights, outcomes, and lessons learned through professional reporting and presentation formats
